The Jill B. and Charles S. Johnson Scholarship in Honor of Charlotte M.Johnson recognizes the importance of the study of History as a compass that encourages understanding of the past and how it impacts the present and future. The careful study of and appreciation for History demands sharp critical thinking and communication skills that will strengthen any career.

Candidates for this scholarship must:

Attend one of the 38 UNCF member insitutions
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Have demonstrated, unmet financial need
Major in History
Complete an essay detailing their goals and aspirations as a history major
Provide a transcript and one letter of recommendation

The selected award recipients will be notified in June 2012 for an award to be dispersed in Fall 2012.
