This document serves as an addendum to the overarching Conditions of Research Award.
(In this document the word “award” includes “scholarship” when used generally.)
APAI Scholarships are subject to the conditions in the Funding Rules in place for the round and/or year that the LP was
awarded, and the specific Funding Agreement.
Some of the conditions of award for APAIs differ from those of the Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) and general
higher degree by research scholarship conditions. This document serves to clarify differences, and as such the
Conditions of Research Award are valid unless otherwise noted within this document.

 suitability to undertake a specified project; and
 academic merit.
The selection and ranking of applicants for the Major and Mid Year Scholarship Rounds within the University of Adelaide
is undertaken by the Graduate Scholarships Committee, using the criteria of academic merit and research potential. A
CI may identify suitable applicants from either of these rounds, for an APAI Scholarship, and/or by direct application.

the anniversary of the start date (after one year), would be indexed to the LP10 rate, and so on for each year of the
award.
Stipend rates:
LP09: Full time $26,669.00 Part time $14,566.00
LP10: Full time $27,222.00 Part time $14,868.00
